At Bonsai Bai Me you not only end up with a beautifully made Bonsai Tree, but you learn the ins and outs of how to take care of it, shape it, and repot it. There is something special about creating your own, rather than purchasing one that is already made for you. We hope our class will help you feel even more prepared to embark on your Bonsai Journey!

Each person in your group will need to be accounted for in your reservation regardless of how many trees you make. We cannot guarantee there will be seats available for guests that do not have their spot reserved.

For example: It is common for couples to make 1 tree between the two of them, however they still need to reserve two spots. However, each individual can make their own tree if they prefer.

At the time of booking, you will pay a $15 studio fee per person in your group, this fee is based on the number of people coming and not the number of trees you will be making (it’s ok to make 1 tree between two people!). During your appointment you will get to choose a tree and a pot, price varies with trees as low as $25 each and pots as low as $10 each! After paying the studio fee and picking their tree and pot, many choose to spend around $75 during their bonsai experience.

We never require you to tip. We urge our Tree Specialists to go above and beyond as they help you through your experience. If they do so, we encourage you to tip them as you would a tour guide or waiter. Tips go 100% to the Tree Specialists. However, if you choose not to tip, our staff are still ensured a competitive wage for their valuable time.

Our tree specialists are educated specifically on the types of trees/pots that we have in store. For this reason you cannot bring your own tree or pot.

Yes we do! However, spots are limited to the availability at the time of the walk-in.

We have digital gift cards for sale on our website! Go to www.bonsaibaime.com, just under the store name there is a tab that says “giftcards”, click on that tab and then click the box that says “Get Your Gift Card Here,” that will take you to a page where you can purchase a gift card. You will get an email with the digital gift card after purchase. Make sure you save that email for when you come into the store so we can scan it into the system at checkout!

There is no need to book an appointment online. Just text our store number at the bottom of this page and let us know when you will be stopping by so our staff can assist you.

At Bonsai Bai Me each group or table gets their own Bonsai Instructor to help lead them through each step of the class. The whole room is not taught at once, our instructors cater to each group and their needs throughout the class.

Children are more than welcome to participate in the Bonsai Experience! We do encourage a parent/guardian to be present to help assist the child if needed. For more information on what the Bonsai Experience consists of go to “The Bonsai Experience” tab on the About Us drop down menu.

You can text a photo of your tree to our phone number and we will happily look at it and offer our advice.

We have take home kits available for purchase that come with all tools and soil necessary to repot your tree. For more information see the “Take Home Kits” tab on this website. Stop by any time to purchase one, no appointment necessary! At that time you may also need to upgrade to a larger pot or follow root trimming instructions for your tree found on bonsaiempire.com.

During your Bonsai Experience you will get the chance to decorate around the base of your tree. Make sure each time you water your tree that you use a very gentle stream of water (especially over sand). This will help your decorations stay put! If you hit them with a hard stream of water they could disperse. If you ever want additional decorations, we have small take home bags available for purchase at the store, no appointment necessary, just stop by!
